Permit types

Stationary source
Stationary Source Permit
Required for any facility, process, machine, or equipment that has the potential to directly emit air pollution — including commercial diesel engines, boilers, automotive paint operations, and printing presses.

Federal
Title V Permit
Required for large industrial facilities that trigger certain federal Clean Air Act requirements. The District administers Title V permitting for major sources in Yolo and northeast Solano Counties.

Agricultural
Agricultural Permits
Agricultural operations with the potential to emit air contaminants may require a permit. The District works with growers to keep agricultural permitting straightforward.

Asbestos Notification
Demolition and renovation activities that may disturb asbestos require advance notification to the District under federal and state law.
